Structured coaching is the best training method for honing sophisticated skills where the learner has learned the basics, but needs practice to move to a high level of competency. Structured coaching usually integrates role-plays that allow the learner to practice new skills and receive high-quality feedback from their manager or another expert.

At TouchPoint, we develop structured coaching that improves the target skills of the learner and simultaneously improves the manager’s critical coaching skills. First, we work with managers to ensure that they know how to provide feedback in a way that is most likely to influence real behavior change. Then, we provide scenarios to address the specific client needs, with detailed feedback options that the manager can use to develop their own perspective on the best way to demonstrate the target skills.
