Leadership Preparation

This program brings prospective managers through a series of activities designed to expose them to all important aspects of the work-group manager role. While candidates gain insight into the manager role, the company evaluates candidates based on demonstrated behaviors. Candidates experiment with interviewing and hiring, coaching, performance management, onboarding, and other critical skills. Participants are assigned pre-work and homework for each activity, and are evaluated on work product and participation. They are also assessed on the emotional and social competencies that differentiate effective and successful leaders. After the program, participants have a clear understanding of the team leader role, and the company has a better sense for who will be successful making the transition from individual contributor to team leader.
